    ARI
    1. Scandella, Marco
    2. 2023 5th round pick (STL)
    3. 2024 3rd round pick (STL)
    Additional Details:
Scandeezy has a rep as a great glue guy, and teammate. For an NHL team set to play their home games at a college rink, they could use a guy like Scandella in the locker room. Keep the morale up and make the days go by a little easier through this rebuild.

Bill Armstrong and the Yotes were able to wrangle 2nd round picks for taking on the contracts of Gostisbehere and Ladd, respectively. Scandella's cap comes in a little lighter than the latter, so I think a 3rd and a 5th without conditions can seal the deal.
    2.
    STL
    1. Provorov, Ivan
    Additional Details:
I know this is going to be an un-popular opinion for Blues fans, but with the emergence of Robert Thomas, a likely O'Reilly extension... places Schenn out of the top 6 center position. The Blues lack that top 4 LHD, so a concession has to be made here. Furthermore, Schenn's contract takes him to his age-36 season. His contract is likely going to be an albatross by the last two years.

But after all, this isn't necessarily a realistic build. This is a Russian build.
    PHI
    1. Mikkola, Niko [RFA Rights]
    2. Schenn, Brayden
    3. 2022 4th round pick (STL)
    4. 2024 4th round pick (STL)
    Additional Details:
PHI prob needs Couturier/Hayes top 6 center depth after their injury riddled, and tough seasons all around. RIP Jimmy. Schenn is versatile and can also play LW, as needed. He brings Stanley Cup experience and leadership, and a different voice in the locker room. He's familiar with the city and plays a Flyers brand of hockey. A guy Torts can likely lean and depend on.

For this to even work, PHI needs to shed salary, obviously. I think that remains priority #1 outside of this build.

The arb eligible Niko Mikkola can plead his case to Chuck Fletcher and one of his "blank checks", if he and his agent deem necessary. However, Mikkola is young, big and mean. Good point shot, even though it really isn't his game. I think he fits in well there and replaces a void on Philly's left-side.

The draft picks are certainly debatable, but could be extra sweetener for the aforementioned Schenn contract that could be an issue as Schenn faces off against the undefeated father time.

    2. 2024 3rd round pick (PIT)
    Additional Details:
    Gotta make room for Malkin.
    PIT
    1. Saad, Brandon
    Additional Details:
Sending the Pitt native home to help fill the void Malkin left behind.

Tell us why does Schenn waive his NTC to go to a poor Flyer team?

Go check Schenn's NTC terms. It currently is not in effect.

I thought that was a possibility as well. This is mainly Army raking Fletcher over the coals. Lol. But the 2024 2nd, or even this year's 1st round pick (23rd) is an option. I feel like a top 4 LHD is this offseason's priority for STL.

Ah, I read that wrong. I thought it didn't go into effect until 2025. You are correct then, no chance Schenner waives to go back to Philly.
