I don’t see a big positive here trading for Pearson

I don't see why we would gain by acquiring Tanner Pearson. He's not cheap and among other things, he'd have to play RW.

Not cheap, but not too expensive either

Our most expensive bottom-6 forward is Blake "the Smurf" Lizotte at $1,675,000, unless we re-sign Brendan "the Butcher" Lemieux at his old figure, so Pearson is considerably more expensive FOR US than anyone else.

He's also better than the rest of them. He's more of a middle six forward, not the type of guy you'd play on your fourth line

Except that there's no place for him on our third line, because we're committed to developing Kaliyev, Byfield, Kupari and Vilardi.

Play Kaliyev on the 2nd line, and Vilardi shouldn't be playing as high as the 3rd line with where his development is at

Putting Kaliyev with Kopitar and Kempe moves Iafallo down to the third line, where he's better than Pearson.

Huh? I'm so confused. Aren't Kopitar and Kempe on the top line? I said put Kaliyev on the 2nd line. Oh I see, Iafallo plays with Danault and Moore on the 2nd line, got it. Okay, fair point about there not being room for Pearson
