Bergy is coming back for another year. Idk how people feel on Lysell's readiness but with the injuries they have to start the year I think giving him a go should be on the table. Hopefully all goes well and we've found our RW3 of the now once fully healthy and RW2 of the future (assuming Pasta stays). I think realistically Studnicka gets the first crack at it though. Overall I think this lineup can stay afloat until we get some relief on the injury end.

The Grimaldi signing I just found a guy who didnt play that many games last season. I remember he had a solid season recently and figured with the injuries he was a solid short term plug and play option with some upside. Idk if Preds match this type of offer to try and keep him around.

Mikheyev I just really like as a player who can improve our depth and think he would fit in pretty good Boston and I think would be a good fit with Coyle. He's an upgrade over Frederic imo. Should be pretty cost effective.

Trades:
Reilly to NYI; just an accepted trade on this site.

Smith to COL; I saw this before on here as something that the Avs fans have acknowledged as potentially an acceptable move. So just went with it, could be any team in a contending position looking for cheaper depth scoring.

If Bergeron is coming back, that means this team is going to do everything they can to win a cup. I'm not convinced this is the result. They need a better 2C and depth. Grimaldi isn't the answer.

I agree, I just don't really know what else they can do. They're strapped against the cap even if Bergy takes a significant pay cut. This team is very similar to this past seasons team, Lysell is a wild card that could be a game changer. 1st or 2nd round team but I think thats really only the best they can do unless guys overachieve.

i like the mikheyev fit, dont get the Smith trade. If you're signing Grimaldi for 1.5 and retaining 1.5 on smith, might as well just keep smith, he's the far better player. Also would expect him to get a good amount more than a 3rd if he's retained

This was with the expectation of Lysell being ready and making the jump. Sweeney said something along the lines of working in the youth and thats basically how I incorporated involving the youth while gaining some extra future assets as well.
