I don't think Giroux would be a good fit and I doubt he'd sign here. He's a win now guy and the Canucks aren't in that position yet

finally a fair jt miller trade for the caps, although i'm not sure they do it when they could get kadri for more than 1 year

I have no idea if he'd have any interest but a short term deal would be great for the Canucks vs other UFAs who will get more term. Certainly makes a more competitive team though JT could probably bring back more NHL ready players if they want to compete.

Yup, I can see the Caps wanting to keep the assets and go for it in free agency. Guess it will depend if FAs want to go there.

I think flipping a pick to a first and taking out one of the prospects might get the deal done - not sure if they’d include both. Maybe add another pick in that scenario with conditions on games played and playoff success?

I would totally get that. Also partly why I didn't put any firsts.
