Not enough for CAT, if you add Holloway then we can talk.

Let’s be realistic here, that’s almost more than what Eichel was traded for Tuch - Krebs - 1st & 2nd

JP was 4th overall plus 2 more 1st round picks I’m guessing not lottery protected & you want to throw in another 1st round pick in Holloway?
    Oilers walk away.
FYI, the player you want to be asking for isn’t Holloway it’s Xavier Bourgault.

No probs, we don't want Cat to move and yes the expectation is minimum Eichel price if not more. We don't want to sell just as we didn't want to sell Hagel but if an offer comes along that makes us go "we can't say no" then it should be looked at.

Where JP was picked doesn't mean anything, Strome was picked above him and has better ppg, they are both RFA this off season and there is a chance neither starts next season with their respective teams.

The late 1sts don't entice us enough to part with a 24yo elite goalscorer in the league who can play in all situations.

    Easy walk for the Hawks.

Yes, at least what Eichel got if not more. 1) Cat isn't facing a major surgery with a unknown long-term prognosis. 2) Cat isn't in a public dispute with his current team forcing their hand. 3) Cat wouldn't be getting traded into the season where very few teams can play cap gymnastics to squeeze $10M in. 4) Cat doesn't have a $10M cap hit. 5) Cat isn't a UFA in 4 years, he's a RFA so the acquiring team can go max term on him. 6) Cat is only 24 years old and keeps getting better and better

Without question Cat gets what Eichel did maybe more. As widely reported, Hawks need to be enticed with a top prospect (Holloway type...or according to sources Holtz with the Devils along with #2OA pick), a early 1st or 2 mid to late 1sts, and a young NHL player...that is the reported ask and the beauty of it, the Hawks have no reason to trade Cat so if someone steps up great....if not the Hawks keep a elite 24 year old player.
