Gotta think Bob at $5 mil has value. Retaining $5 x 4 is just so dangerous if you're getting absolutely nothing back.

Is Marino not that good? I’m actually surprised you would trade him for Olofsson

I was listening to the podcast last night, I like the Marino trade but didn’t think the pens would do it

If we were to make that trade for Marino, I don’t think drafting Jiriceck and Bischel would be the move. Jiriceck at 9 would be a no brained if he fell, but I do the think getting Bischel at 28 would be smart if there is little chance of him cracking our top 4 with Dahlin, Power, Samuelson, Jiriceck, and Marino here for the next 5 years, (and there’s a decent chance all the rest besides Marino are here longer). I think trying to snag a high potential forward who is falling for whatever reason would be the move at 28.

Bob at 3.4? Devils would probably do that. Florida wouldn't though.

Also pretty optimistic that Jiricek will be there at #9.

Lol it solves their entire cap problem. They may need something more coming back, sure, but there’s no way they don’t seriously consider it.

Under the case we move out Zucker I’d do it. It’s either we get a first for marino or a quality top 6 player.

I’d rather have Bob than Blackwood to be honest.

Don’t see any need for the Vladar deal

Drafting 2 RHDs and trading for one does seem a little overkill but it isn’t inherently bad.
