D Overhaul and Depth Overall

Created by: bdb
Team: 2022-23 Vancouver Canucks
Initial Creation Date: Jun. 22, 2022
Published: Jun. 24, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Would require Miller to agree to extension prior to trade.

No idea if Blues like Scandella but Hoglander seems like a fit with their new look style. Dickenson/Scandella swap seems fair but dman are a premium asset and Dickenson **** the bed this year.

The Islanders still easily say no. Value is skewed towards Van and they don't part with Pulock

I think Pulock is a premier Dman but no longer regarded as a highly due to his offensive regression. I'm curious how far off the value is ?

He didn’t regress he was hurt, and has a full NTC on his new 8 year contract, there is nothing you can offer to get him as he is not going anywhere.

Pre-empt: that Blues trade is such a gift!

Now the Seattle trade. . . Swap out Burroughs for Poolman, and WE'LL take Dickinson and let you keep Hoglander (that's a bunch of cap freed up).
We'll give you Larsson and a conditional 2nd next season, but we want your 1st round pick next year instead!

He at one point looked like he was a 40+ Dman and has looked more like a 30 pt guy for the past few. It's not a slight on the player as he is a great player.

I get why you don't want to trade him and wouldn't consider it as a fan. I have the same unreasonable attachment to Horvat and wouldn't consider a trade for him as a fan.

I'm going to stick to my opinion that the value is fair.

I would most nucks fans would say a long term partner for Hughes would be good value but perhaps you don't like Pulock or really like Myers?

Is Scandella that bad? Overpaid by a bit but still a solid defender and puck mover. Dickenson has no value and Hoglander is still mostly potential as much as I love him.

I'd love to pry Pulock out of New York, but the other two trades seem incredibly steep. Don't think Larsson is worth the assets to acquire if Pulock is here, and Scandella has just been terrible for the last couple seasons.

What is unreasonable, you completely ignore the fact that Pulock has a new 8 year contract with a Full NTC. What player has ever waived his NTC before his contract started, and why would Lou ever ask him to waive it.

There is absolutely 0% chance that Pulock is moved.

He’s not bad a little careless at time but we have guys that are just better cheaper and younger already so that mostly what it is. Dickinson would be a good 4c here too

Pulock is often injured and has a big long contract that he’s not worth atm. Not enough production

Easy big fella, maybe unreasonable is the wrong word. You clearly really like the player and that is important, I get it.

Pulock isn't for sale, and if he was it would signal a rebuild and these aren't the pieces the Islanders would want for him.

Dickinson for Scandella 1 for 1 would be fair

Larsson isn't worth that much either
