I think the Flames would want more in that deal. If it were up to me I would do it though. Probably pretty close.

No from Winnipeg on all the deals.

Not enough quality and no team needs met for the Jets in the Boston deal.

The Calgary trade is lateral at best for the Jets, so they might as well just keep their guy.

The Jets aren't retaining that much on Wheeler and taking a cap dump back without adequate compensation.

If the Jets trade Dillon it will be to clear cap and for the best pick they can get.

Detroit passes, Not trading Veleno and a 4th for an aging Brenden Dillon. Make it Nate Schmidt for a 4th and we have a deal.

i struggle to understand who the jets think will trade for blake wheeler, he is regressing hard and aged out so their options for destinations would be very limited.

60 points in 65 games in a season where Wheeler had a bad case of covid and a knee injury is regressing hard? What is a good season to you?

Wheeler even at his age would be the 3rd best player on the Oilers.

That aside, a mid to late first isn't enough for the Jets retain $8 mil on Wheeler and take on another $3.3mil of deadweight.
