That NJ trade is brutal. No goalie has ever returned that kind of package.

The Buffalo trade makes no sense for a team that is young and developing. By the time they should be ready to push for the playoffs Scheifele will be a UFA and most likely wouldn't re-sign there. He makes more sense to a playoff team.

Kings probably prefer to stick with Turcotte and hope he develops vs bringing in a winger who's age is very likely to start catching up to him soon.

Just take out Zacha, Smith, Mukhamadullin, Blackwood, Bastian and the fourth and make the Columbus third your own 2022 first.

Blake Wheeler turns 36 in the off-season, and has a HUGE cap hit. No, thanks. Kopitar, Doughty and Quick are sufficient veteran leadership.
