2023 Florida first a 2023 second and kidney could have Calgary 1st but probably happens after the draft jets don't give up that easily

you see I think that depending on who's kidney it is, you might need part of a liver as well, and then the picks, but I think caufield will be the right candidate

Not giving up more than Florida's 1st + Dvorak + one of Struble, Ylonen or Farrell for a guy we can sign for free in 2 years. Besides that @windjammer said Dubois = Dvorak + mid to late 1st, so why give up more.

Winnipeg would probably prefer that you didn't include Dvorak. That gives them 4.4m in cap to sign a real centre.

I agree but your not the only one team to seek for a center, who would you get instead of a secure trade plus asset’s

There is no point from the habs end.

From the point MSL was hired to the end of the year Dvorak was producing at a .77 ppg which is a 63 point pace which is the peak of what Dubois has produced in a season.

Dvorak can actually play centre. Dubois cant win a faceoff to save his life and has horrible defensive metrics.

Dvorak is locked in to a very reasonable contract while Dubois will want a 7+ million deal .

Long term the habs already have suzuki and likely wright while Dvorak is making little enough that he can be a luxury 3C at that pricepoint by the end.

I'd take Dvorak, he was as productive at even strength as Dubois was without taking so many dumb penalties.

If I'm the Jets and PLD is traded and it's a long term extension in place, I either wants prospects/picks, so I have cap space to sign a centre or get a good established centre.
I don't know if Montreal is the team that needs a centre with Suzuki and Wright. To me, Boston might be logical place for PLD especially if Bergeron retires.
But I maintain that PLD's trade value isn't that high. Teams could just sign a UFA for about PLDs $$$$, and keep young assets.

Interesting thought Dvorak and 3m in cap . I've never understood the "love" for PLD. He was the 49th highest scoring centre, which puts him squarely as middle of the road 2nd liner, though he did have a great playoff against the Leafs a few season ago.

Nothing. Dvorak isn't a starting point for PLD. Nobody turns a 1B center into an average 3C in a trade.

Yeah, don't get me wrong I don't think Dvorak is some stud center or anything but maybe playing with Connor he hits the 50-60 point mark and without the countless dumb penalties Dubois takes are they really that far behind from where they were with Dubois?

Idk, Dubois is good and there should still be some growth in his game but I really don't see anything all that special in the guy. He's put the Jets in a really ****ty spot, really don't think they can get some haul for him, they could do worse than a mid to late 1st, Dvorak and some extras for PLD.
