Not a chance Jarvis is getting traded for Dube and Valimaki. He was a top 6 forward for a really good team as a 19/20 year old.

Jarvis outperformed Dube’s best season in his age 19 rookie season with no AHL seasoning. The kid is likely a future star in the league and on an ELC which is extremely valuable for a contending team. Dube is a nice piece but project out as a middle 6 winger and is more expensive and older than Jarvis. Valimaki was drafted 5 years ago and can’t crack the roster full time. He may not be a bust yet but he’s dangerously close to that territory.

Valimaki had injury problems and Carolina loves skating D-men so would love him…Carolina needs solid forwards now to win Cupin next 2 years, Dube helps that one and Jarvis is unproven. Flames fans won’t necessarily publicly support me, but many would agree Iam sure

Jarvis has already proven he’s better than Dube. How is that unproven? This was Dube best season and Jarvis out performed him in his first season. Canes don’t have space for Valimaki with our own prospects ready or close to ready (Keane Sellgren Morrow Heimosalmi and Chatfield). They’re not gonna clog up the pipeline with Valimaki who hasn’t shown much whether bc of injury or not. You can’t discount injuries - durability is part of the game.

Why wouldn’t flames fans support you if this was a logical and reasonable stance? You have to look beyond surface numbers (which even those don’t help your case) to evaluate players and trades.

I'm sorry bud, but Seth Jarvis is a future stud, Dube and Valimaki don't come close. Jarvis is the real deal, those other two are depth pieces at best.

Dube isnt close to Jarvis. Jarvis in 68 games scored more than half of what Dube has done in 200 if youre going purely off of points

If hell has frozen over Buffalo might consider a Lucic trade. But I’m pretty sure that it hasn’t. If for no other reason than the fact they are retiring Ryan Miller’s number next season, and you think they might even consider the idea of having Milan Lucic wearing Sabres colors at that game. Let’s just say the bad blood did not go away with time.

All that stuff was in the past. Sorry, but they really haven’t done that much at the NHL level. In half of his rookie year, Jarvis was able to make himself a staple on the first line, and lead all rookies in point production from March onwards. And that was after going over a point per game in AHL then getting sent back to the WHL because of a stupid rule and going over a point per game, and look where he is now.

Dube and Valimaki are both nice, and they WERE highly touted, but it really doesn’t seem like they are as high on the depth charts as they once were. So unless someone like Tkachuk is coming back, Jarvis is off the table. Cheers and have a nice day.
