Kyle Davidson isn't retaining on DeBrincat, New Jersey doesn't need retention anyways. And Debrincat becomes a $9,000,000 player the following season. teams that acquire him need to keep that in mind.

Buffalo has had a grand total of 2 NCAA prospects not sign and instead go UFA in the past like 20 years and one of them played a total of like 40 NHL games, but yea Portillo clearly doesn't want to sign. Those Buffalo trades are garbage, and even if Ryan Johnson doesn't sign they get a 2nd round pick as compensation, Borgstrom is trash and not worth that.

That’s an absolutely ridiculous overpay for debrincat. 2nd overall alone is the absolute most he’s worth

Not even close to what his value is. 2nd overall is good value but this draft class isn’t very good and debrincat is a two time 40 goal scorer who is 24 years old

bro what are you talking about. Debrincat is only 24 and is being paid 6 million for another year and is an RFA and is a borderline franchise talent and a top 5 goal scorer in the league. The hawks won't settle and to say he's worth less than the second overall pick is a joke.

for a top 5 goal scorer in the league and isn't even in his prime yet? 9 mill is a great price for debrincat especially since he can put up 50 goals with a top club.

buffalo needs an established dman RD like murphy. He's a heavy hitter, shot blocker, leader, and can chip in on points and is on a team friendly deal. I compare him to Josh Manson on the Avs who is playing amazing in the playoffs. Murphy is worth way more than a late first.

Then hope the Hawks can trade him to someone for that? The Sabres aren't going to move any of their 1st rounders this early in the rebuild. Especially not after what happened last time. Granted, it shouldn't prevent them from exploring deals for those picks, but you know it will.

Debrincat isn’t a top 5 goal scorer in the league, he’s a 2nd coming of patty Kane puts up good offensive numbers but can’t affect a game in any other way and his numbers are inflated due to playing with patty Kane. Not to mention he has one year left then he’s gonna be asking for like 9m a year

it would be extremely stupid to run a top 4 d core with Samuelson, Dahlin, Power, and Jokiharju, who are all super super young since this could hurt their development. It's better to have one of them, perferably power, play with an established d man in thier late 20's so that he can learn from them. Plus Murphy would be a part of their future.

Weren't people saying the same thing about Panarin???? Look at him now, he's a top 3 left winger in the league. Players don't just casually put up back-to-back 40-goal seasons even with playing with Kane. Also, 9 million is a fair price for a 24-year-old 2-time 40-goal scorer who isn't even in his prime yet!!!! Debrincat could score 50 if he's with an even better team and gets more help.

Bruins can´t afford to trade away picks... it´ll have to be the other way around... two prospects from Boston and a pick back!
