Yeah I'd for sure trade Dubois for that.

Once again that Pierre-Luc Dubois trade, get blown away by half of the teams in the league. And besides no freaking way he signs that contract.

Interesting idea for MTL if they can somehow pull that off but a 2 yr contract is probably going to cost MTL something in the 7s, and long-term is going to start with a 9 but perhaps 10 in MTL. The extra 1m will be for therapeutic reasons being a French player playing in MTL.

No chance he signs that and I doubt that interests Winnipeg

He sunk his value to Winnipeg, cant see him getting them a better return than this.

That's why it's better to hold onto him until the 2nd season, Move him at the TDL if Winnipeg is out of contention and hopefully his value increases.

Oh there's no way they're contending with this much going on and the many holes in the lineup, this is a better offer than they'd ever get at a TDL move for him, best to trade PLD sooner than later imo.

Something around the 2023 1st and Coronato/Zary as a base. Monahan for cap reasons ofc Could add one of Beck, Kerins, or Poirier. I imagine Colorado would offer a lot too

Im quite confident Coronato is a much better prospect than anyone you would get with this year's 26th OA or a super late 1st next year.

Colorado would probably offer a package around Girard + Newhook

This mtl deal gives an immediate player for the 2 c that has more value than Monahan 2 first and a prospect hard to beat that

Probably, I could see Florida regressing and that pick being a bit better than that though.

Would the Avs really do that?

Dvorak was barely a competent 2C on the worst team in the league, healthy Monahan is better

Florida is too good to regress below 2nd in their division next year, probably win it again.

Avs fans on HFB seem to be offering around that

Idk, think they may have overachieved last season and are in a real cap crunch now and hired a bad coach, who knows what happens there... lol

Interesting, guess the Avs do have to sort their 2C spot if Kadri has priced himself out and they're not ready to hand it over to Newhook yet, to me they should keep Newhook and sign Stastny to a cheap two year deal to insulate Newhook, Stastny lives in Colorado, its a good fit.

Fluery already said he would sign with Montreal if Price was unable to play. Perhaps read up on things before making these types of comments.

Montreal is not offering that much for 2 years of PLD when they can just sign him in 2 years. There are rumors out there that he wants to play for Montreal and that is why he is unwilling to sign long term deals. They have been around since he came into the league, so this is nothing new. Even in 2 years the best that will be offered is a mid to late 1st + good prospect for him as a rental. The best option available to the Jets right now is to try to trade him for a 1st (15 to 20 range) + young established center (under 27) signed for a few years (a Dvorak type player) + good prospect (B level). If the Jets wait on Dvorak them his value will drop especially if he himself reveals that he wants to sign in Montreal as a FA, if that happens you will only get a late 1st and maybe a 3rd for him from a playoff team.

Stop giving more for PLD than Vegas gave for Eichel!

Just wait and sign him as an UFA!
