Chicago is not in the position to be spending picks on players. However Frost is still sort of young right… what’s the update on him?

"Recording just 16 points in 55 games, the verdict is still out on whether Frost can one day serve a role as a dynamic point producer at the NHL level. Considering he will be an RFA this offseason, Philadelphia will likely give him one more shot to prove himself on a short-term team-friendly contract. If the Flyers can add to their center depth this offseason, Frost might find himself as a regular on the wing, which some feel will be his permanent place in the pro ranks. Of course, the chance Philadelphia packages him in a trade while attempting to execute their aggressive retool remains possible. In terms of Frost’s NHL ceiling, there is still some optimism that he can put it together and become a legitimate top-six forward. However, the clock is ticking". - John Gove

Most the year he really didn’t look great, but the last 15 games or so he seemed to gel really well with Tippett and Cates, the 3 out played pretty much every line they played and Frost was looking VERY confident, doing some beautiful plays and being intelligent with the puck.

If he continues that development of the last 15 games, this deal is an absolute steal. If he goes back to how he was for the long stretch, then it’s a bit of an overpay.

Truthfully, I want to see everyone on philly without AV for a year since everyone’s numbers and value dropped considerably under that coach (-.150 to -.300 PPG difference) so I wouldn’t be shocked if coaching held him back

I think that Chicago would pass then, doesn't really fit our rebuild and seems unnecessarily risky. Hope he works out though,.

I love me some Konecny, but if we’re adding that much on top of Guri I’d rather wait and see if Guri finds his game with DB
