I have to think Buffalo takes that, although they may offer up a 2023 2nd instead of 2022 since they have 3 of them next year.

As long as it’s the higher of the three 2nd rounders, that works for me.

He has also said that Bertuzzi is going to Toronto the past 3 TDLs and the last 2 off-seasons. So I think it's wise to take anything he says with a grain of salt.

Agree
I don’t think we would trade down AND give up this year’s 2nd

Howbout the entire mine?

I mean, he's exactly the type of player Toronto wants and has been looking for.

Can they afford him? Not so much.

Not with the current roster as constructed, anyway. I could see it happening if they try to re-tool. A Nylander or Marner swap for Bertuzzi makes sense for both teams. I wouldn't necessarily rule it out.

If the Jets did move Lowry, I doubt it would be for a disappointing bottom 6 winger looking for a raise.

Middle six winger that won’t be getting a raise

30 points isn't middle six. He's a winger though so probably of no interest.

All three could be gone, or two, or one, but I would think PLD at least gets a two year extension and see where this year goes. All the chatter is leaning towards a retool, which tells me a leadership change is the plan and Wheels is gone, and possibly Scheifele.

As for a Lowry return, I say something around a third round pick and a b level prospect that could be a Lowry type player; big, tough, and a two way player.
