It just shows how desperate EDM is for a goalie.

You've traded a whole cap to teams and expect just great picks or ELCs in return. No way. Teams can just sign just as good UFAs and keep their young assets.

Don't know why Jet fans think PLD is such a difference maker. Never has been before. He's a second line centre that wants too much money. Montreal or any team can keep their pick/young assets and sign a UFA almost as good maybe even cheaper.

Ya 0 chance the habs go up to the podium IN MONTREAL and trade away the only 1st overall pick they have had in the last 40 years for a 50-60 point defensively deficient centre who cant win a faceoff to save his life.

If PLD played in a bigger market than CB or WPG then more people would see what he brings.

I don't know how realistic these returns are but I do think it'd be for the best to trade those four this offseason, a big change to the core is needed, trade them all while they have value, retain on Wheeler if necessary and take back one or two year deals to make the cap work for the other teams if necessary.
