BUF
  1. Dumba, Matt
  2. Fiala, Kevin [RFA Rights]
Additional Details:
So Fiala will be gonna this Offseason will this year being the biggest dead cap hit from the buyouts of Parise and Suter. So I think your gonna have to get the most for it and Buffalo will work. They get the 14th overall pick. Portillo who can create a one-two tandem with Wallsepdt. Peterka who had 78 points in 70 games with Rochester. And hometown boy Casey Mittelstadt who i think just needs a fresh change of scenery and Minnesota would be the best place for him.

MIN
  1. 2023 5th round pick (DET)
DET
  1. Kulikov, Dmitry
Additional Details:
Same thing with the Blues and Scandella, Give him to a team that needs LHD. and they probably get a pick from a 4th to 6th in the draft for him

Trade breakdown from my POV is basically:
Fiala for #16+Peterka
Dumba for Portillo+Mittelstadt+3rd

Seems reasonable looking purely at value.

Yzerman has zero interest in one year rental LDs, He wants top 4 LD with at least 2-3 years of term, Like Pettersson, Martinez, Scandella and Schmidt.

No they won’t get that much. Look at the Sam Reinhart trade. Fiala is one year away from being a UFA, Wild aren’t getting an insane trade package. It will be a 1st round pick and a mid level prospect.

Maybe on paper and from the Wild's perspective but wojme's right - the Sabres are very high on JJP and aren't giving up on him before seeing how his game translates at the NHL level.

Also don't see Dumba being a great fit for Buffalo.

If anything, Mittelstadt + Johnson + 28 to the Wild for Fiala would seem reasonable for both teams and provide young players that fill needs on each roster.

Rofl sabres have no interest in that and Minnesota has no leg to stand on to ask for that

You're applying what Fiala's value would have been *last offseason* to the present when you use someone like Reinhart as an example.

That would get a laugh and a dial tone. And for the umpteenth time, Johnson would NOT fill a need on Minnesota.

Pretty sure the leg to stand on would be better offers... Like:

2023 NJ 1st + Gritsyuk
Holtz + 2nd
2022 OTT 1st + Jarventie/JBD/Gustavsson
#13+Wahlstrom/Raty
#19+Turcotte+Grans
