Kadri got new representation earlier this year, same as Marner's which shows that he's trying to maximize his earnings. I don't think that was a shot at Dubas, so much as fans, I'm assuming Dubas felt his hand was forced (and Kadri did get suspended last year as well). I can see him coming to Toronto, only if they are willing to pay him 7-9m x 7. He's going to go to whoever pays him the most or at least one of the top offers.

Players acutally do especially if it has a NMC in it. It gives security. I think a deal with leafs would 7x6-6.2 tho not 5.5

Someone may take a little less for a NMC or something like that, or to play where they want to play, but no one is leaving 3 years on the table unless they have a serious thinking issue.
