Description
Jarry trade happens after Pens miss the playoffs and Jarry informs he wont resign with the team, TDL deal.


This leaves roughly 28,5 million of cap space for the 2023-24 season

MacKinnon 11x8, 17,5million left
Sign both Byram and Newhook to bridge deals at around 3x3, 11,5 mil left
If Jarry plays well, sign him to around a 5x5 deal, 6,5 mil left

That leaves around 5 roster spots left, fill those with cheap players. EJ could probably come back at league minimum.

Wouldnt it be cheaper to just Re-sign Kuemper?
You'll have 7m left to sign a goalie

Giving up a 1st for a Jarry just seems weird to me

You should get more for Girard.

Also don’t think Byram bridge is gonna be cheap if you go that route

You’re forgetting overages in your future calculation, it’ll be pretty high too. Lehkonen starts with a 4, Val is at least 5.5. Manson is good. They will sign Kuemper back for 3 years instead of Jarry. If MacKinnon doesn’t get 12 for what he’s done in COL that’s brutal for him. Byram and Newhook bridged would look more like Cirelli and Sergy of TB that’s a decent comparable ($4.8M x 3).
