Kane has the final year of his contract, so it's a rental deal. Hagel has 2 more years.

He just put up 92 points in 76 games. Claude Giroux, who isn't nearly as good as Kane is, netted Philly more than this for him to play for the Panthers for a few weeks.

Not bad. But IF Soucy is traded, the return might likely be better than this offer, especially if they wait til the deadline and even more so with the retention.

Add another 1st (2025) and 2nd (2025) with conditions, and prospect like Pylenkov or Huuhtanen. Do you think it's okay now?

I don't know...I feel like if the Hawks are moving him, they'd want some serious quality coming back.

Detroit says yes. I'd say drop Sundqvist and make the 2nd a 3rd that turns into a 2nd if Bertuzzi resigns with the Bolts.

Bertuzzi is made for playoff hockey. Big issues though, with the Canada covid shot policies. Bertuzzi held out on his last deal and I think he is going to ask upwards of 7 to 8 million a year over at least 6 years, but his health and durability is concerning. This is a gamble for Tampa.

Detroit gets a sure fire top 4 D who is cost controlled for a bit and also young. I think Tampa would not do this trade.

I agree. With 2 LHD prospects that have the potential to be as good or better Sergachev. So why give up a 30 goal scorer who has improved his production every season for a player we don't even if we need.

But I do agree with this.

Neither team does this.

Wings decline. Not trading Bertuzzi unless it’s a big overpayment
