Nice work by Dubas. Gio and Liljegren as a pair for $2.2M is fantastic.

We can finally put the offer sheet posts to rest.

Great contract and is only two years. Kind of like a prove me contract and a young guy that should develop nicely.

Great signing. I was thinking closer to 1.8 given Dermott got 1.5, but wow 1.4 is a steal for Lili. Him and Gio were our best pair for most of the post deadline season and they only cost us 2.2 mil for the next 2 years. Huge W

Maybe, maybe not. Hard to command more when you only have 1 full season under your belt and don't have arbitration rights.

As long as he continues to improve, his next contract will be much bigger.

Good signing in a vacuum but the Leafs NEED cap space

This deal essentially saves cap space based on expectations/comparables...
Most people were expecting 1.5-2m.

Great value and sets the bar low for Sandin

Assuming the Leafs can sign Sandin for a similar deal and less than what Holl is making, the Leafs could trade Holl and start Liljegren and Sandin in the top 6. Saving cap space while arguably improving.

I bet they still hang onto Holl unless they find someone a touch cheaper to be their depth defenseman.

I was hoping for a 3 year deal but the AAV on this deal is lower than I anticipated so I guess it's pretty good.

I thought at least 1.55 mill like Valimaki and at most 2.5 mill like Jokiharju

This be a steal especially for what he was doing this year and with Gio can't wait to see how his growth continue

Expecting Sandin to be signed next for around the same
