I think if Vancouver was offering Garland to get rid of Pearson enough teams would be interested that they wouldn't have to give up the extra 2nd.

Pearson's contract isn't an amazing one, but it's honestly not too far off what he deserves. I feel if the Canucks were offering a 2nd to get rid of Pearsons contract a team would bite, but to throw in Garland too who for sure has positive value is too much.

This is a crazy cap dump, why are Vancouver adding two second rounders? They need prospects, and Garland and Pearson are still good players with room to grow, unlike others being rumored to be traded by Vancouver such as Dickinson or Poolman. Plus, I don't think Miller will stay in Vancouver in 23/24 because he doesn't fit in the cup run timeline (he will probably regress by then) and will probably ask for a salary upwards of $9M for long term

Yeah, not gonna lie, there isn't a player on Van's roster currently where this kinda cap dump makes sense.... Even if it was Myers or OEL instead of Pearson, the bigger contracts or overvalued contracts still have value as players to some/most teams

Garland alone gets more than a 2nd and they don't need to move Pearson. I know Garland is basically a carrot on a stick here, but the Canucks can afford to overpay a roster player by a million for one season and just sell Garland off for good value (he could go for a mid to late first).

I don't wanna be rude, but this is probably one of the worst trade proposition I've seen. The canucks counter offer with their 2023 second for the duck's 2023 and 2024 second, Henrique and Terry. It's approximately the same kind of trade proposition
