Ben Chairot? Kerfoot may not pile on points without top end talent but even if he's just a 30-40 point forward who can play anywhere, kill penalties and play all 3 forward positions is definitely valuable. Lehkonen was traded for a 2nd and is comparable. Without question Kerfoot has good value. And Vancouver is going to have to take on salary when moving Miller regardless if who you trade him to. In many cases teams will try to send you a straight up cap dump because all contenders will be up against the cap.

Chiarot is a defenseman, and at that, the type of defenseman that is in high demand, more so than soft middle six forwards like Kerfoot. Also Lehkonen > Kerfoot, big time

Okay you clearly have a bias against the Leafs. Kerfoot isn't soft. He's literally the exact player that Garland is. I am done here.

Kerfoot isn't really physical, and he isn't really billed as a sandpaper guy either, he's more so just a high hockey IQ role player. Garland is a fairly soft player too, he doesn't really have a sandpaper element to his game either
