Description
Wild trade - Wild get younger & free up cap space. Leafs get a different looking top 4 & better in the short term.
LA & SJ trades - still rough but the idea is for the Leafs get a vet goalie & a younger one with upside.

The Kings will not be trading Jonathan Quick. Drop the retained salary and LA still says no.

Would rather have Sandin than Dumba at this point but I hear all of these moves though.

Yes it's Wild. Closer might be don't trade Sandin and the Leafs have 5m more in cap. LA might do the trade without retention, so that gives the Leafs just 2m cap. Sign a 7th Dman. Kings have lots of cap this year so I see them keeping Quick and then be cap free next season without Mrzarek.

Replace BOTH Kerfoot and Abruzzese with Knies, and maybe the Kings say yes.

A cap dump, a B prospect who'd be about 5th on our depth chart at his position and an expensive middle-6 rental for our starting goalie? Not even without retention.

Easy sharks decline. Nothing of quality or interest coming back in that trade at all.

Holmberg is a little interesting but this offer doesn't get you our potential starting goalie.

Yeah an absolute no from wild. Minnesota isn't trading dumba to take on worse player who also needs to be resigned

Honestly, I'm glad Sharks fans have embraced him and that moniker. Lol.

I was sad to see him go, but I'm glad he at least went to one of my favorite teams. That trade definitely looks to have been a win-win for both teams so far. Middleton just about became a fan favorite here in Minnesota. Perfect D-partner for Spurgeon too.

Other than that, I think the Sharks should hold onto Reimer and Kähkönen and move out Hill. Even if it's the likeliest lowest potential return of the three.

we agree in San Jose. we were gifted Kahkonen and while we loved Middleton, Hill at best was projection to be a 1-A with glovehand issues, Kahkonen has starter quality to him and has a higher ceiling.

I feel the same way. I really liked Middleton and wasnt sure why the sharks made the trade, but Kahk has been good so far and I like him so I cant be too upset.
