I'm high on Liljegren right now. I've always wanted to see him succeed and it's nice to see he's hitting his stride

Haha I love the title.

No, this is not worth it for the leafs. Miller and Garland are more valuable than Nylander and Kerfoot, but the difference isn’t Lili.

This is why the Canucks should either trade up in the draft to get Nemec or Jiricek on the right side or move down and draft someone like Ryan Chesley. Their needs are all over the place but a RHD is paramount.

Leafs get:

-A substantial upgrade from Kerfoot to Miller at 5v5

-Garland to replace Nylander. Garland has scored simlar points to nylander at 5v5 the past 3 years though he does not make up for Nylander’s powerplay spot nor Nylander’s goal scoring

- fortunately, miller DOES make up for Nylander’s power play role, as he is one of the top power play performers in the league

-garland is cost controlled for 4 more years at a solid cap hit.

-in general, leafs save over $2.6 million in cap on miller and garland compared to nylander and Kerfoot and get the longer term piece.

The cost: one lilly boi

If you add Schenn, subtract Liljegren for a prospect then it's a yes.

I just dont see either side doing it

Liligren is on a steal of a contract rn and honestly I dont see Dubas moving him

The only thing I could maybe see out of Vancouver in any trade is maybe Toronto trading for Miller at the TDL or trading Kerfoot to his hometown team for a pick

I would love Miller and he absolutely is a huge upgrade on Kerf, but Nylander and Garland is a pretty big gap too. I think you’re underrating Lili a bit too, you are acting like he’s just a throw in: he’s not.

That said, I do think it’s a pretty close trade. Luke Schenn might even it out honestly.
