Why would we trade Sandin to sign a more expensive Kulak

Sandin is younger and has much higher upside

As based on what Liligren made were gonna have a young top 4 D making 1.4mill in a week or so

I would accept that offer as the Los Angeles GM.

Of course, as @aadoyle implies, I'd wonder what the $$$$ you were doing.

Did you even look at the Canes cap situation? I mean, you clearly didn’t, since that move would be extremely stupid and would handicap the Canes so much. As for the pieces, Raanta likely isn’t getting moved, and the Canes have less than 0 interest in Muzzin and Kallgren. Kerfoot for a 3rd, sure we can do that and make it a 3 team trade since Toronto is incapable of retaining. But the rest of the moving pieces are completely unnecessary and stupid.

Canes pass - you have to understand other teams situations before blindly sending players their way.

I suppose Raanta could be had but it’s very unlikely since they want jochetkov to get a full year in the A instead of backing up this year. Kallgren is a clear downgrade and with Freddy’s injury history they need a capable 1B. Muzzin is of no interest to the canes, nor do they have cap space to eat his bloated contract and free up cap space for you. Kerfoot could be of interest for a pick or somebody like Bear depending on how UFA shakes out.
