I think they should look into Girard too. should be available, is still very young, and an excellent PMD

Edmonton has no interest in Josh Bailey nor his contract (even with retention) unless a "sweetner" is added to the deal.

13th overall isn’t a bad offer but he’s not getting traded to the isles lol.

Trade idea is ridiculous but let’s just be clear here. Bailey isn’t a negative asset lol. Someone will trade for him. Also the only reason Edmonton would even consider moving for him is because McDavid was a fan of bailey as a kid rofl.

I wouldn’t be shocked if Lou brought Leddy back. The analytics guys hate him but his actual goal differential is positive lol. This excerpt below is from the athletic

                14. Nick Leddy, Blues

He can still eat minutes, the question is whether you’d want him to. He had a 46 percent expected goals rate in both Detroit and St. Louis this season and got caved in completely during the playoffs. Don’t let the positive goal differential fool you there. Leddy has the puck-moving tools to be effective, but needs to be sheltered and paired with an effective defender to be worthwhile.

honestly it's a meh offer and thats not going to do it.

I agree that he’s too valuable to Tampa to move in that deal, but idk if anyone would be lining up to give Tampa more than a top 15 pick for him and a serviceable lefty d prospect for him. His next contract won’t be cheap.

for an elite 23 year old with 6 seasons that can play either l/r side. who moves the puck extremely well and is a physical beast.

I think they should look into Girard too. should be available, is still very young, and an excellent PMD

I thought he was good for the blues with the exception of the MacKinnon goal. The Isles used him as a safety valve for years where his job was just to get the puck out of their zone and that’s where he excels. I find it hard to believe he is worse than someone like Chiarot though lol.

                I didn’t think he’s a 23 year old

Edit: Sergachev just turned 24 lol

Esa prolly says no. I get the impression the group of Fins we have in Dallas is pretty tight

Either way lol. I think the fact he’s gonna get PAID on his next contract makes it a difficult move for a lot of teams. Also why would Tampa trade him to the NYI? It would essentially be giving them a way back into cup contention.

Idea that Tampa would help the isles via trade was kind of ridiculous tbh. It’s like when that Bruins writer Fluto recommended that Boston trade for Pelech. He also recommended a Pageau trade this year in one of his mailbags and I can’t tell you how dumb it would be for the isles to help Boston fix their center issues. Obviously would hurt their playoff chances.

That Tampa trade wouldn’t cut it tho. And neither would Fluto’s ridiculous ideas lol. Very hard to make a trade with a team u could run into during the post season.
