Seattle is not trading 35 OA for Tyson Barrie . . . No picks this year, actually. I'd wager that draft picks are more important to this franchise than any other in the league, currently. Plus, UFA comes AFTER the draft. Kraken will take a stab at Klingberg, perhaps others, before even considering a trade for Tyson Barrie.

‘ Canes in a world of hurt to sign key guys. Could use the ltir space“ … Canes are a team who desperately did not want to use LTIR last year and do not want to do that.

This comment is rather interesting from a team who has cap issues of their own, why not just use your own LTIR? Guessing the reasons are the same.

Canes have enough money to sign the players they want to, and their core players are under contract.

Kyle Davidson quickly accepts this deal, then smashes his cell phone, burns the smashed bits, before throwing the remaining ash in the Chicago River. He then moves to Bizmark, North Dakota, changing his name to Doyel Adamson, bringing the Blackhawks with him, and changing the team's name to the Bizmark WhiteEagles, simply so there is no chance that the oilers could ever, ever, renig on this deal.

Reports are Blackwood is on the market. Essentially in my pretend deal one 2nd for Blackwood one second to take kassian. Doesn’t hurt to have someone who would stand up to Wilson or reaves

Buyout costs 666k against cap this year 1.9mil next year and 966k the following 2 years. I’d say keeping 400k for this year and next is better

Very similar situation you are correct. I was thinking that trocheck nino and deangelo would eat most of the space then they could use ltir for other smaller RFA’s.
As a canes fan curious as to your thoughts on AAV for those three I mentioned or are they walking from any or all

I would agree with you I’d also shoot for klingberg first as well

Anything could happen, but to make a prediction…I’d say that DeAngelo is back on another 1 year deal around $4m walking him to UFA. Canes will not re-sign both Trocheck and Nino, but do think they try to bring one back. My sense is it will be Nino, 2 year deal around 4.5m-5m. I think if the prices are higher than that - they all walk.

I think UFA deals are going to be cheaper and shorter than people think.

Yes I know but sending 2 seconds for blackwood? he wont solve our problems. Doesn't make sense for either team.
