Yes they can. That rule is only applied moving forward.

I would say yes to both. Could've played in NHL this year IMO. Not gonna play top 4 minutes this year, but can very well see it in the future

Then I would say thats pretty close to fair value. The 4th is low but nothing a higher/additional pick cant fix

I actually spoke to some of his Utica teammates this year and they said he reminds them of McAvoy. Not the biggest guy in the world, but has a good frame, possesses a lot of skill, and has an edge to his game

maybe its just me but im not big on the idea of spending a solid amount of capital for a player coming off a career year they likely can't replicate
