NJD center depth aside, i can't imagine a world where Wright drops out of the top 2. You draft the best player available

Nemec definitely wouldn't be ready for the NHL next year and there's no need for both Forsberg and Fiala. The money needs to go towards goaltending.

Explain how the devils will be able to afford Mercer, holtz, siegenthaler, McLeod, Bastian, sharangovich, severson, Dunn Blackwood. That’s just the expiring contracts within the next two years. What about when Luke Hughes and nemec have to sign? If you are able to do all that under the salary cap, I’m all for it👍👍

I'd rather have Ty Smith than Vince Dunn.

And we should not be trading our 1st next year if we aren't getting a legit goalie this summer.

Ah yes it would appear so 😂

My bad, in that case I actually quite like Nemec to NJD

Team with 10 prospects is going to trade #4 OA, their #1 LHD, an early #2 in a stacked draft, take back a player they don't want, took Bastian over Johnsson in the draft and a meh, so far, DMan, to move 2 spots. I'm guessing they'll let Montreal and NJ pick and if Cooley is available at 3 maybe make a move or sit their and see want happens. Moving backwards out of #4 is more likely than giving up assets to move up.

Take a look at the Long Term Outlook. If you go with this interesting roster they have $25,536,666 in cap space next year. You can sign all the players you mentioned. You can see if MB has a bounce back year -- if he does not -- get a another goalie in UFA next season... Its stretching the cap space (which is nice to have) --- but its not impossible... As far as I am concerned you let Mcleod and Bastian walk next year. Go with Boquist or another youngster.
