Dach was a top 3 pick a few years ago. Only way the hawks consider moving him is if Buffalo includes their own first round pick.

Not even in the ballpark for Keller. Everyone knows Johnson isn’t signing, Arizona has the draft capital to go get 16 if they really want it, oloffson is ufa next year

Lol, you’re funny
That’s an OVERPAY for Keller
He’s not DeBrincat

Good, bc that’s an overpay for him
Dach has struggled to look like the prospect who was picked so high

Now I’m not saying you should give up on him & trade him
But this wouldn’t exactly be “selling low” either

I actually wouldn’t wanna do this deal as a Sabres fan
We’re giving up too much
Dach > Mittelstadt isn’t even a sure thing at this point

No it's not, but given Mittelstadt hasn't come close to his expectations either, I would take Dach who is over 2 years younger and has had some bad luck with injuries over Mittelstadt every day of the week. At least in Dach's case, you can point to the likely problem with his development.

Funny? I just explained to you why that package is a nothing burger. It’s full of things Buffalo couldn’t care less about. Johnson isn’t signing, and all oloffson has to do is accept his QO and he’s gone. Keller is worth a lot more than 16th oa and a 23 2nd. That’s not even remotely close to an overpay

COL doesn’t need to shed salary, EJ’s got one year left, COL will just keep him if that’s the return.

Mitts was the 8th overall pick so projection based off of draft selection doesn't really matter here. Plus Mitts has a high PPG than Dach and if injuries are what hurt Dach over his career, the same can be said for Mitts over the last two years. I understand Dach has lots of potential but Mitts was once considered the best prospect in hockey after the World Juniors. It is a change of scenery for two guys who haven't lived up to their projections with the Blackhawks getting picks and a good goalie prospect too.

Olofsson & Johnson still have plenty of value
Thinking they don’t is absurd

Oloffson does to a contender, Johnson has 4th round at best, he’s walking after this year. So in context of what this trade means to Arizona, yes, they have no value

That’s utter nonsense
Either *could* sign with you

Just bc *you* don’t think they would, doesn’t mean they don’t have value

Your argument doesn’t have much backing besides your personal feelings
And unless i missed it, you’re not part the ARZ management team

Just simply say u don’t like the guys bc u don’t think they’d sign with you
Bc they do (in fact) have value

Mitts is a guy that needs a change of scenery. Dach has only played 2 seasons and one of those was a really strong rookie season. The difference between the 8th pick and 3rd pick is pretty huge especially when they're 2 years apart. Hawks aren't giving up on a top 3 pick after 2 seasons

This has to be one of the worst takes I've seen in a while. If you knew anything about the sabres you would know Mitts also lost a lot of games due to injury. He was also forced into a bad sabres roster early in his career with coaches that didn't help his development at all. But yet your saying that there is nothing to point to in his deveopment problems. I agree Dach is more valuable right now but your making it seem like hes debricat. Also where a player was drafted if they were taken means nothing after a few years especially if they are not producing. Even if its a factor that should be considered they were both taken inside of the top 10 so that doesn't realy matter. Also Dach had 7 more points then Mitts with 30 more games played last year. I will agree the two year gap is the biggest difference between the two.

HA, sounds like you are offended! For the record, I'm not a fan of Dach and wasn't pre-draft so I'm not propping him up. However, when you have a 21 year old kid and a player that has spent 2 more years in the NHL and their ppg rate is pretty similar, I'll take the 21 year old every day of the week. It's really that simple. Both of their develops were messed up, both forced into bad situations with bad teams (Hawks are worse), both had injuries, but Dach dislocated his wrist, had surgery, and rushed back for no reason which a severe wrist injury for a hockey player takes awhile to come back from which is why I'm also see Dach vastly improving next season (besides just age). On the defense side, I take Dach easily. Bottom line, Dach is worth a fair amount more...he simply has more upside then Mittelstadt and that's not a bad take despite you may not liking it.
