Geez, Mrazek has better numbers over the past 3 seasons than Gibson and you send Nylander to get him. What an absolute terrible move.

I'll take the five years of Gibson, at the end of which we'll be contenders, over the two years of Nylander, at the end of which we won't.

The idea that Mrazek is on a par with Gibson is truly an appalling take.

I am not saying he's better or on par. But it can't be denied that his hardly been world class for 3 years now. Lots of goalies on bad teams still have better numbers than Gibson has. His stock is less than half what people think it is. He makes 6+ million and doesn't at all look like he's a top goalie.

He looks great to me in the games he's able to win. And his figures will be garbage again this year because our defense is even worse now than it was in February. But this is the price we have to pay, just as Colorado paid that price half a decade ago. We're two years into that process.

The idea here is 1 Im assuming they will move him with the smoke around his name, and 2 the money they will save. Nylander is cost effective now after bonus money paid. 4.25 average cash per year

Yes, Nylander's economics are appealing, but for a team almost $18 million under the cap floor, Gibson's cost isn't really a consideration.

Your backup had better stats.

Sounds like Gibson might have asked for a trade

Gibson made a media announcement that he had never asked for a trade and wants to spend his career here.
