Yes we add a second round pick on for a rental who’s not as good as Panarin

Maybe I am having a hard time following this 3-way trade but did NYR trade Panarin and a 2nd for JT Miller? Or is NYR getting more back?

So let me get this straight: effectively you're claiming that J.T Miller 1/2 retained is worth 5OA, another 1st, a 2nd, a 3rd, Konecny, Frost, and a 1 year cap dump?

Bruh, this is the most lopsided trade I've seen on here lol

So you get Frost, Konecny, two 1sts (one being 5OA), two 2nds, two 3rds and a 4th for JT Miller? LOL

Breadman has a NMC, not sure he would waive it twice. I do think it makes some sense for NYR to turn his cap into 2-3 pieces.

Wow it is amazing how much breadmans value apparently changes just by going from NYR to canucks. NYR just get a one year rental, give up the better player with term, and also give up a 2nd round pick. The canucks get a ridiculous haul for that same player they severely undervalued .

Miller obviously wouldn't be a rental if Panarin is going back the other way

So then the canucks are going to be retaining on the entirety extension then right?? if NYR are giving up the better player and a 2nd rounder there has to be more incentive. Especially with the canucks turning around and flipping breadman for double the return they just gave up for him.

Panarin isn't necessarily a better player than Miller. They scored at around the same pace this past season, and Miller isn't gonna get paid nearly what Panarin makes. The only thing Panarin has over Miller as an asset is cost certainty

Miller is extremely good. No doubt about it. But Panarin is clearly much better. Miller has broke 70 points just twice in his career. Panarin has broke 70 points in every season he has played except for last year when the season was shorted due to covid. Panarin has a career PPG of 1.12 vs Miller career PPG is .71 . Yes Miller is very good. But not even in the ballpark as panarin. To just site one season as a reason the miller has more value than Panarin is crazy. Nucks fans are just getting a little crazy with these miller trades. Miller should not command more than Jack Eichel did.

Quit looking at past production and look at how both players are producing offensively right now

Miller is not as good as Panarin. Panarin has more value for sure. It’s amazing that the return for Panarin that the rangers are getting is abysmal but then all of a sudden you gain an absolute HAUL for him LOL

How the hell is Miller not as good Panarin? They literally scored at the same clip this past season

In millers 11 years in the NHL he’s had 2 seasons of being a point per game, Panarin has had 5 in 7 years (his entire career).

Both players are also one year of age in difference.

Verdict: I’m taking Panarin over Miller 8 days of the week.
