You couldn’t trade Anderson for Dufour 1 for 1.

Columbus declines, quality over quantity. If Columbus is moving 6th OA it would be in a package for Caufield, Suzuki or 1st OA. Not to mention including Boqvist in that trade as well.

If NJ didn't take cap dumps during the main part of the rebuild, what makes you think they will start now when they're trying to compete?

So Culumbus gives you a potential top D pair for the next 10 years in Jiricek and Boqvist for a rental who haven't played a full season in 3 years, a glorified 3rd line center, the rights of two B prospect who aren't projected to be anything special and a more than likely late first pick next year... That's bad...like really really bad

Anthony Beauvillier the last two seasons: 122 games, 27 goals, 62 points
Josh Anderson the last two seasons: 121 games, 36 goals, 56 points

difference between #13 (Islanders first) and #62 (Oilers second) = 49 places

by this yardstick, Beauvillier plus the Islanders third (#78) = the Calgary first (#26 being worth substantially less than #13)

and Beauvillier's cap hit is 75% of Anderson's

That trade with NYI is laugh out loud funny. Goodness gracious Habs fans are delusional

"Jiricek falls to 6th" - and so Columbus takes him, and laughs at this ludicrously terrible excuse for an offer. There's literally nothing of interest in that package that would compel Columbus to give up either of Boqvist or the 6th overall, let alone both together, and especially not if someone we badly want like Jiricek comes up at that pick. (In particular, if you want us to take on the Mailloux mistake, I'd demand the 1st overall as payment for continuing to listen to the rest of your offer BEFORE you pay us to take him on, because hell no.)

Dallas accepts. Dellandrea fills in for Faksa on an elc. With Moving Faksa and the retention Dallas can actually do this deal
