I don’t see a scenario where any team is gonna give up the equivalent of 2 1sts for josh Anderson

I do not seen any viable path to NJD trading #2 unless it’s just dropping to Arizona at #3 or Seattle at #4. Even then, it would take a lot.

Habs should be acquiring one of those picks if they want to trade up.

If they were smart they would trade that pick. Someone like Seattle, San Jose, or Anaheim would love to be at 2. And the trade would probably take 1-2 years off the rebuild.

Don't ask some of these ppl to be smart. Even Bobby Mac last night said Slahkovsky is most likely, nothing more than a 2nd liner, but a lot fans that have done zero research think this 2OA this year is some kind of generational player.

“It’s a peculiar draft year,” said one NHL team head scout. “Neither one of them [Slafkovsky or Wright] are locks to be first-line players in the NHL. I’m not saying one or the other couldn’t become first liners, they’re both good prospects, but unlike a lot of years, this draft doesn’t have any great prospects. There are no slam dunks. There are things I like about both guys, but I have some reservations, too.”

I much rather have Bourgault than the Isles 13th OA. Problem is that Anderson would block this trade to Edmonton in all likelihood.
