Description
I know a lot of islander fans will probably argue against this deal but I think it's what both teams are looking for if there is a swapping of picks to even it out I'm not against it.

One can wish, although it's best to trade him for a RD if it comes to that, unless we are going with Holl or there's a replacement in FA that can stick around for at least 3 years on a cheap contract something in the low 3s at most.

Also, buying out Myers for 600k cap this year, and 600k hit the next doesn't really make much sense for an insignificant amount this year for adding rentals (can just pay teams a late pick for 600k retention), while next year that 600k might be significant when it comes to signing Bunting.

No. The leafs aren’t moving sandin. Also, if they were to, trading for a goalie with a year left on his deal would not be an ideal trade.

Wahlstrom is a RW but yeah it doesn't really make sense.

I think the Isles can address LD way more efficiently than this. Gostisbehere, Dunn, Sanheim, Girard all for example without giving up Wahlstrom

Sorry lmao I thought it said Varlamov. Well if it was for wahlstrom it would be good value wise… but still the idea of trading sandin when we have no one else on LD after Muzzin is past his prime (arguably is now).
GMBL liked this.

Absolutely crazy signing Giroux at a 6m X 2 contract. Nice that you traded Kerfoot for Myers than you don't have Myers on the rostershakes head

Don't think ghost would qualify as more efficient, have you seen his contract? Think if NYI does this Sandin is on the 3rd pair and they still go for a bigger play at 2LD. Don't find this trade overly realistic tho, not sure why Toronto would do it.

In a "hockey trade" Ghost for Bailey makes so much sense. We address LD with a puckmover. Bailey's real cash owed is less than his AAV. It's a match made in Arizona heaven. Now, I'd pay more for AZ to retain 50% on Ghost's expiring contract to facilitate more moves, but that's beside the point
