Too much for PLD - you should be getting the third instead.

Very easy no from Winnipeg. You could probably get Wheeler for that though.

With him being a rental, u might not get the value you’d like

Who is a rental? Are you sure you know what a rental is? Wheeler has two years and so does PLD.

    Was talking about PLD
He isn’t going to sign long term, he said he wants to “explore free agency”
So even though it’s for 2 years instead of 1, he’s still a “rental” bc he isn’t gonna sign long term

Lol that’s not what a rental is. And even if he was a true rental dealt at the TDL before the summer he goes to UFA he gets a hell of a lot more than this.

    This is an all timer

    Meh

First off, there isn’t a set time frame to call someone a “rental”

Secondly, i never said what PLD would or wouldn’t get. And this isn’t my ACGM. We’ll see what PLD gets. I don’t think it’ll be as much as many Jets fans seem to think

Yeah my fault on assuming this was your post.

Rental is commonly used to TDL assets, maybe stretch it to a season. 2 seasons just doesn’t make sense.

I’m sure he doesn’t get a kings ransom but it’s certainly a hell of a lot more than this

So he doesn't sign in winnipeg to sign long term in Buffalo am I the only one that thinks that's unrealistic?

I consider a rental to be any player you’re acquiring who won’t be around long term

Oh okay. Well as a pure rental at the TDL in 2 years, the Jets would get the standard rental price of a 1st and good prospect minimum, so you can see that this offer is pretty awful. Not even slightly enticing.

That actually sounds like reaching to try and rationalize sub-standard offers. Basically every player is a rental using your standards as there is no player that is a 100% guarantee of re-signing.

Guys with 5 years could be rentals by that logic. To each their own but that’s absolutely not the common definition

From 1 year to 2years is quite a bit closer than from 2years to 5years
If u need to go to extremes to prove your point, then your probably reaching

Olofsson's best season is near Koneckny's worst. (Last year Olof had his career high 49 pts, in a year where PHI was missing its 1C, 2C, 2LW and Giroux (1LW), the team couldnt score, the coaches were both bad, Koneckny still got 50+ pts)

Even if you think Olofsson as a RFA gets similar money to Koneckny, their age is similar, their type of game makes Koneckny worth more as well.

I'd think you'd be adding 2023 PHI 2nd as well, and still not sure PHI says yes. Add the PHI 2nd and change the VGS 2023 2nd to 2022 VGS 1st and I'm still not sure Philly does it. For PHI, at best its a lateral move in players.
