@Spyeye "Yes Buffalo is taken but they could get another prospect or draft pick(not a 1st) for Krebs."
Why not a first round pick or at least another second?

Buffalo trade must be a joke. Why would they do that?

It's true this offer is wack but so is saying Krebs is better than newhook lol

Colorado doesn’t have anything Buffalo is willing to give up Krebs for...
I am keeping Quinn and Peterka in Rochester one more year because:
Pominville spent over 3 years in Rochester and was 23 before he became Sabre regular.
Vanek after two years at the U of Minn spent a full season in Rochester and was 21 before he became Sabre regular.
Roy spent parts of three seasons in Rochester and was 22 before he became a Sabre regular.
Gaustad spent three seasons in Rochester and was 23 before he became a Sabre regular.
So let's develop our prospects rather than rush them as we did with Thompson, Mittelstadt, Cozens, Ristolainen, Girgensons, Grigorenko etc.
Where do you all see Krebs in Buffalo line up next year?
This is a possible line up:
Skinner Cozens Tuch (Dylan appears to be Buffalo's future #1 center)
Asplund Mittelstadt Thompson (this line up was very effective when Granato used it the last 25 games of 2022-'21)
Olofsson Krebs Hinostroza (last year Olofsson and Krebs struggled keeping the puck out of the net)
Girgensons ???? Okposo (Ruotsalainen/Larsson?)
If I put Thompson at center, then Krebs would be the Sabres
fourth line center?
That makes no sense what so ever.
Krebs does not play defense very well, Compher does and is more suited to 3rd line center.
Compher was one of Colorado's top PK forwards the last four years.
Unfortunately, Compher is only signed for one more year, but he would be a perfect third line center for Buffalo.
Taking Compher's salary and considering the upside Krebs, the 43 OA is woefully insufficient to make up the difference.
Let's jump forward 8 months, if Lehkonen could return Justin Barron and 2024 round 2 pick at this years TDL, I would imagine Compher could do the same or more.
