Description
I am not a fan of the ducks this is a series of my projected rosters that I am gonna use to update my NHL 22 rosters and make a new season mode. I have a busy off-season for Pat Verbeek as he has shown he isn't afraid to make moves. I think the Ducks will concentrate on staying the course and improving internally along with adding assets. My apologies as an Oilers fan that Dallas Eakin returns. I don't think Gibson gets traded. I tried too and i think both New Jersey and Washington either won't give up what the ducks want or they look to improve another way. Toronto can't price him in and I don't think that an intra division trade happens. I think it should be Toronto or NJD tho but think it would be the caps. Without further ado here you go my apologies for the long read.

Trades:
-Zucker and a second for a 5th is a trade I saw on this site, Actually it was a third but consensus was it could be a little more.
-Philly retains two mill to save 5, ducks retain more and flip at deadline.
- Reunite Guhle brothers, give ANH a RD
-Might have to add a little to Vegas trade but Roy and Comtois played at wjc together
- ANH gets tougher and a 1st can trade and retain Lucic at deadline. CGY gets cap space

Big UFA aquistion was Zadorov. Tougher on thhe backend gives a veteran dman to help the young guys adjust. Big focus of this team is getting a bit better but also allowing that internal growth. Making sure those young guys are protected.

AHL:
Dostal leads the crease and will step-up to the big club soon. Helleson gets a year in the minors to develop and play first pairing minutes. Same goes for McTavish, Groulx, Tracey, better they get top 6 minutes in the AHL and can step in after TDL or next season when some of those vets have departed.

Roster:
Goalies: I think Stolarz may get traded and might have that on another roster as I go but for now he backs up Gibson who I expect to bounce back to his pre-all star break self.

Dmen: Shattenkirk gets moved at the TDL but until then he can help this young blueline. Fowler and Zadorov are ginna help Drysdale and Helleson adjust. Vannikainen, Larsson, Mahura will alternate in and can be subbed with someone from the minors but hopefully one or more take the next step.

Forwards: Milano, Terry, Zegras you hope can alll imporve on their performances from last year. Comtois you look at for a bounceback same with Zucker. Hopefully Van Riemsdyk and Roy can help everyone along. 4th line will be a rotation based on performance and who they're playing.

Overall I think their might be a couple to many trades but I feel that this roster is better and can comepete for a WC most of the way. I think that there will be some internal growth and that their is a nice core to build around that I didn't want to tinker with. Let me know your thoughts in the comments below thanks!

Silfverberg isn't on LTIR. Wtih him in the mix there is no way they get both Zucker and Lucic.

MacTavish is 100% on the roster because he can't play in the AHL (due to age) so there's no reason to target Roy in a trade. Hague from VGK would be a MUCH better add (dumping Mahura into the AHL).

Wasn't sure on Silfvervberg status, lots of cap space doesn't affect much if anything i'd remove the Van riemsdyk trade. My understanding is becuase he turns 20 nect year he can play in the AHL

His birthday is Jan 30th and the cut off is 20 years old by Dec 31st. He misses it by a month.

EDIT - It's worth mentioning that the Memorial Cup championship game is on NHL network tomorrow at 3pm pacific. Might as well tune in to see our boy play in a big game.

With McTavish likely playing the full season in the NHL and a healthy Silfverberg, it is probably too many trades like you said.

I'd also like them to address RD this offseason. If Shattenkirk is playing top 4 minutes, Gibson is going to have another rough season.

All in all, very well thought out and nicely done. A lot of those teams would have a tough time saying no. Can't wait to see what you do for the rest of the 31 teams.

Really nice job, especially for someone who isn't an Anaheim fan. I'd be happy to do as good a job on an Edmonton construction.

I'm not a fan of the van Riemsdyk acquisition because I don't think that we're really getting anything out of it, and I agree with @CHAR that I'd sooner target Hague than Roy, but this is very good analysis and vision. Congratulations!

I don’t think it’s gonna be cheap and the ntc means a limited number of teams who would

He is actually a very useful contract for a cap floor team. Only 1m actual salary owed after his bonus and a 6m cap hit to help get to the floor.

Plus he's a very useful player to have, especially on a young team. Very good leader, winning experience, one of the most intimidating ayers in the league and can still produce in your bottom 6.

I think there will be a few teams that would take him for a 2nd or cheaper, will just need to navigate the ntc.

Including Larrson even as a 7th D told me your understanding of the roster is low.
