if the Sens are retaining that much on Murray, then they're not taking Edmonton's cap dump in return. what's the point in getting rid of him if we still have 3M in dead cap, plus kassian's 2.7? there's no actual cap relief there, and the remaining pieces would be an overpay for Puljujarvi imo, although not ABSURD, still too much

If I had the money on a young team I would like Kassian for a few years, old school. I would also trade Murray up to half his salary, the problem with a buy out is years 3 and 4 are 2500000 dead cap hits...when Ottawa could need the money and not that different from the pay out retained this year and next.
