Value wise it's fine but the blues would first have to trade a forward. Tbh don't think the blues and leafs are good trading partners in this scenario

Jake Muzzin would be long gone before Detroit becomes competitive again, Plus a late 1st and 2nd round pick doesn't get Tyler Bertuzzi. Yzerman will want a piece that fits our young core not an aging 33 year old like jake Muzzin who can't even stay healthy.

I’m sure part of Bert’s value in that trade is being based off his UFA status, but both Stevie and Bert have vocally stated a desire to get a contract extension in this summer so Bert’s value will be higher after the fact. If he is moved without an extension it’ll likely come at the TDL, but if Hagel can get a few picks and two 1sts, Bert should get more.

It always helps to atleast ask yourself why the other team would make the trade you proposed. Because many of these make no sense for the other team
