As it stands I highly doubt Edmonton would consider such a move however I could see things unfold in a way might make more sense.

With any luck the Jets pass on this offer. That isn't much more that PLD would get as a rental in 2 years.

PLD has already made it known he will not sign beyond 23-24 season as he wants to test FA. Signing him to a 3 year deal will not happen.

Devils say no, Cheaper younger options out there. If you remove Bahl and retain 3-4 mill maybe they consider.
