Which is impossible, because I was told on here that he is not available

Except Faber was a 2nd round pick. Levi was a 7th. Faber is a better prospect (at time of trade) than Levi was.

the round they were picked is pretty irrelevant here. Both had their stock improved at the WJC but neither appear to be world beaters. It's the reinhart return, for sure.

My prediction this morning was: a top-50-100 prospect + pick in 20-40 range

Should have said 19-40 range

I think Faber is the better NHL prospect than Levi was at the time of that trade. But Fiala is probably a little above Reinhart, so certainly consistent with that comp.

I am always been bullish on Faber. And any young player that defends with their skating.

I think Faber is slightly over-hyped but he's solid

Chris Peters - Daily Faceoff and hockey sense “ I think it might end up being a slight overpay for Fiala, but he's a terrific stylistic fit with the Kings and they can handle the contract. Largely win-win.”

Also “ That is a hell of a haul for Minnesota. Faber is a projected top-four blueliner who starred for USA at the World Juniors and Olympics. To get a first on top of that is a great pull for the Wild. Meanwhile, the Kings deal from a position of strength with a DEEP prospect pool.”

Yes I saw Peters, Robinson, DSL, et. al. tweet about him.

I'm allowed to form my own opinion, no?

sure sure.

I think he's somewhere between where Peters has him (surefire top 4 dman) and the models have him (2% chance to make the NHL).

Wheeler had him 7th in the Kings system and that feels fair to me.

And this isn't recent. I've always wondered why Kings fans felt he was so untouchable. Great skater, does the little things well, but lack of production would be concerning to me.

Lack of production definitely concerning and something he’ll have to work on. He definitely has to have a more productive (stats sheet) junior season at the U. I do love his game though, I watch every Gopher game, I’m pretty pumped to have him in the Wild system.

Wheeler has him in the 2nd tier 4th overall in the Wild system. He just tweeted that.

Tweet below:

For those asking, gun to my head without thinking about it too much:
1. Rossi
2. Wallstedt

3. Lambos
4. Faber
5. Addison

6. Khusnutdinov
7. Peart
8. O’Rourke
9. Beckman
10. Hunt

I'm not /quite/ sure I think he's better than Addison but maybe. Seems roughly correct at a quick glance.

Maybe not. But he's younger, so there's a higher chance of upside with him that you don't get with Addison.
