Maybe not. But he's younger, so there's a higher chance of upside with him that you don't get with Addison.

Maybe. I don't know. I personally don't love Faber. I never really have and have always wondered why Kings fans were so high on him. But that's just my take. Solid return about in line with what I expected you guys would get. mid first and solid prospect that wasnt a blue-chip.

The trade is Faber and 2022 1st

That's impossible. The credible sources of Capfriendly AGM'ers have been saying Faber is "Untouchable" for many weeks now. Your sources must be incorrect!

I pretty much called this in early April "Fiala's worth is a ~20th overall plus a B+ prospect." and here.

Minnesota fans must be disappointed from the comments I received on those posts. At least Faber is a local kid. I also wouldn't be surprised to see them flip the 19th pick + to get a player that can help them now on a team friendly deal.

Congrats, you did *nail it. I’ll disagree with the Fan aspect though. I’m happy with the return. Top 4 RHD with elite D upside and top pairing upside if the offense ever comes around, elite skater. I like it a lot. It’s not an amazing return, but IMO a fair deal. I’ve watched damn near every gopher game the last few years, Faber is a hell of a player, does all the little things right. And man is he tough to beat 1-1, just doesn’t happen.

I 100% agree, the deal was fair and Minny got a good prospect back in Faber. He should be a top 4 defensive defenceman, might not be elite, but that is not a slight, that is just really tough to do.

I'll agree to disagree on the fan aspect, there were more Wild fans thinking they'd get a significantly better return then this.

On the trade though, I think Fiala fits really well in LA as well, doesn't have to be the leader with Kopitar there and he can just play his game.

Yeah, it’s real tough to get an elite Dman, and those don’t move often in trades. I think he profiles as a Brodin type of defenseman, I’ll take that any day.

Yeah, I’d say I fell into that category at one time. Once Russo started saying R1 pick and a good prospect, I started coming around to a lesser return. It ain’t easy to do though. I know many Wild fans and not many are disappointed with this return. I’ll be curious to see what some *fan polls say. I’m sure those will be coming haha.

Fiala is going to put up 100+ points with Kopitar. I loved watching Fiala every night, but the cap is the cap.

Team's fans overvaluing prospects and picks. Colour me shocked.

Isles and Sens fans valuing these 1st round picks at 7th and 13OA with guys like Nazar and Lambert to be 'guaranteed' top line contributors when they'll probably both flame out of the league.
