I personally don't want to get anyone for the top six I want the kid line to have a shot at the second line and play panarin zibby and kreider line 1

Yea but if we can trade Nils + Chytil/Krav + 1st for PLD its a yes all day. Nils is stuck behind Fox and Schneider and PLD > Chytil/Krav

Thats why media says. He prob doesnt want to commit to more than 2 years as that is when Scheifele, Wheeler and Helle are done. Fiala was done in Minny and everyone knew it as MIN was forced to sell

and PLD is done in WPG, everyone knows it

And Faber is NCAA while Schneider got to play in the AHL. If Faber is in the CHL he is probably with the Reign the year before and could probably have handled himself nicely on LA last year. Draft position means nothing 2 years past in most circumstances

Faber wasn't force to play ncaa it was his choice (or maybe management wanted him to stay longer) he could've switched at any time

Hard to say that when Schneider was in the NHL this year and proved effective

not saying they are equal prospects but Faber comp is closer to Schneider or Jones in a trade like that. Nils isnt even a top 30 D prospect at this point.

Scheifele, Wheeler are going to be gone. Why keep PLD when he doesn't want to be there when you can get a solid return of picks and young prospects for him. This is not a retool your two best players are hitting FA and won't be resigned.

If Chevy was smart he'd trade players get back a load of young players and picks and try for michkov of Bedard

LOL you're both clueless.

That Panarin contract is terrible, by the way.

And if he goes the CHL or pro route he forgoes his education and possible career following his hockey career. Good on him for having some forethought.
Next time, let him know your disappointment ahead of time

Not upset, just pointing out your weak comparisons between players based on draft positions and paths of development

Good time to be a buyer!!! Teams with cap space should be aggressive. Could see some interesting moves leading up to the draft and free agency.

This.

So because Schneider didnt chose to further his education and decide to play tougher competition to further his hockey career that make Faber better.. ok I understand now thanks for clearing that up for me

Wait, who said he’s done in Winnipeg? Besides not wanting to commit long term as of now, he’s only had good things to say and has enjoyed his time here. It doesn’t seem like the writing is on the wall. I don’t know why everyone is in a rush to deal Dubois now especially if the deal doesn’t make sense. He’ll fetch this same package a year from now.

Not really, Fiala was probably wanting more than what teams like Ottawa, NJ, Philly etc were willing to pay him which limited the amount of teams interested in trading for him.

Ditto JTM PLD Scheifle Boeser
