Detroit passes, Kerfoot to Detroit isn't happening.

You're $2,000,000 short on Filip Forsberg and $3,000,000 short on Johnny Gaudreau,

Well now wait a min. If that 2023 1st is top 10 protected then I think Buf is STUPID not to take that.

Why do people keep suggesting that Detroit will pay teams to take salary dumps that are bottom 4 D or bottom 6 F? Wings have plenty of players for the middle 6, either incumbent or up and coming.

Why would Detroit give up a 2nd and a 4th for a 3.5 million salary dump for a .5ppg player (last season was a bit better than that) and that player is pretty much in his prime headed for UFA? Even if you think Yzerman can "Leddy" the deal (in which Detroit rents a possible roster fit and if not then flip the player for capital at the trade deadline), Kerfoot would be lucky to fetch a 2nd and a 4th at the deadline.

Detroit doesn't even pick up the phone, and Yzerman sends Dubas a "thank you" card with a collage of Petr Mrazek photos.

Throw away our future and likely two of dahlin, Thompson, power, cozens to make a run at a wild card spot before marner is a UFA?

I don't think so
