Colorado: The Avs clearly have one too many LD and will likely need a new middle 6 PK-capable winger. They also get a legit RD prospect.
Toronto: Gets their goalie (cost controlled for 3 years) and a puck-moving RD at good value, both of which are needs. Plus, they get Vilardi and draft stock.
Philly: Gets a legit top-scoring winger and can move on from an obviously unhappy Provorov, plus their contracts perfectly swap so there's no worries there. If an extra 2nd needs to be given to the Flyers by LA, so be it.

Leafs are not interested. Already have enough D who can move the puck, and Petersen is not the guy we really want. If Nylander is ever moved, it is for an upgrade

Why wouldn't the Kings just trade directly with Philly for Provorov? They're giving up way too much for what they get in return.

I don't think they'd be interested in Peterson or Walker tbh and that's salary that's gotta be moved to make room for Provorov

Probably need to add, Philly moving a top pair D for a guy whose only ever put up fantastic numbers on line 3 seems like too big a risk

It’s tough w/LA, COL if they were to trade Girard would want a cost controlled winger with term and to maybe get a little cap space in the swing. Kempe is interesting but likely to make more than Girard so that doesn’t really work, I’m not sure I’d have to think about that more.
