Description
COL trade is interesting IMO. Sharangovich gives them a cheap option to replace Burakovsky, Bahl can play 3rd pairing LHD behind Toews and Byram and pick #37 holds decent value. Devils get a young puck moving dman on a good contract. Gives them flexibility with Severson contract as well because Luke Hughes will be coming up and he has ability to play right side. It's also important to note Mukhamadulin plays the right side and Reilly Walsh will get a good look this year

Although Sharangovich only has a year left, he's an RFA next year so it's not like he can walk. If I were to guess, he'd probably get 4x4, maybe 4.5 so fairly affordable top 6 guy who can score 30 goals in this league IMO

Although somewhat fair value, Van says no. Ty Smith fits the best on the return for Miller, but kinda is in the same mould of player as Hughes and Rathbone, I think Van would like a young RD with more high end stay at home capability. Zacha is a piece JR and Allvin like, but I don't think that's the complimentary piece in this trade. The bidding war that's about to happen for Miller, this doesn't come close to moving the needle, although it does fit was the ask was around the last trade deadline

Fair. Couldn't see the Devils adding much more than this for Miller so we'd have to look elsewhere

My perspective as an Avs fan is that it's an interesting trade proposal, but Bahl doesn't really tickle my fancy. Also, I kinda agree with DD above, although I would say cost certainty, rather than term, is the key factor.

Well thought our proposal, but I think Colorado ultimately rejects. It gets them thinking though.

Feel like miller should get at least what Fiala got. If not more. Faber is a better prospect than smith, don’t think zacha makes up the difference

I feel like Smith has a higher ceiling than Faber. Tbh, Faber is gonna be a second or third pairing shutdown guy, nothing too special. Although Smith struggled this year, I think he has the opportunity to be better in the long run and obviously has more offensive potential. I know VAN has been linked to both these players which is why I used them, but this deal could be tweaked. Walsh instead of Smith or one of Foote and Boqvist in place of Zacha. Just feel like this deal works best because both those guys hop into the lineup this year. And obviously 2023 is a strong draft. There would be at least top 5 protection on that

Also wanna note that some of these Pitt proposals blow mine out of the water tbh. Idt Pitt offers Marino, Kapanen, and a 1st tho for one year of Miller but if they did VAN should take that and run

Vancouver would want Walsh instead of Smith and probably another pick or prospect.

I would do Walsh in place of Smith. I’d be okay throwing in 2022 3rd but no more than that

Tbh I would want Walsh, 2023 first (protected) and severson.

Canucks HAVE to get real value with Miller otherwise they should re-sign. A b+ trade shouldn’t cut it
