Yeah those 2 players dont do much, maybe one of them with retention and the 2nd or a 3rd gets you from 8th to 5th.

But I dont think either (or collectively) player is attractive enough for that. I think PHI would value lindblom as much as either of those guys.

Now if you offered a 2nd or 3rd to that and Philly substituted JVR for Lindblom, you're closer

I would be perfectly fine subbing JvR for Lindblom and adding a 3rd... I'll update

Obviously its not what they want for 5th oa. You want 5 it costs one of 8th oa or edvinsson or cossa to start.

Jiricek won’t be there at 8, he’s in the tier1 category. I’ll comment on the trade below, but you pick Jiricek at 5 and if you really want Gauth, him at 8.

Not sure on some of the comments above related to value. JVR isn’t a true cap dump as he scored 20 goals, but his contract, age, and deterioration bring his value down. I think some of you are severely undervaluing Hronek, which seems to be a norm on here. He was drafted 53rd and is 14th in points in his draft class, only behind a few elite/franchise Dmen all of which he’s played less games than minus Fox. Definitely a defensive liability that hopefully improves with a more stable stay at home partner, but he’s worth atleast a 1st rounder (not 5oa for sure).

That's a huge overpayment for Pettersson.

I think the first priority is the C, which is the whole reason for acquiring 5oa.

I personally think it's an underpayment. In reality, I think it takes a 2nd to acquire him despite the popular opinion on this fantasy site 😜

I don’t disagree with you that C is a priority, but 5OA would be better utilized to pick any of the tier1 players (Wright, Cooley, Slaf, 2 D). Trade the D for a team with deep C prospects thereafter if need be, but you’ll also likely have plenty of the tier 2 centers to pick from at 8OA.

I think Nemec is Tier 1 while Jiricek and Gauthier are both Tier 2 (along with Kemell and Savoie). Beyond that I would argue Lekkerimaki and Kasper are the start of Tier 3.
