Opens the door, for a rather large buy and afford some of the kids coming. I don’t know the ducks well enough for the right return.

I'd be more willing to do it if it was Anaheims pick versus Boston's, even if that means taking someone out

What is Anaheims pick? I’m not a Anaheim fan, but looks like probably limited spots for panarin to be dealt to, need/cap space, and not sure if burnt bridge with rangers gm. Just thought it might be a interesting trade to buy a ton of cap for future ranger contracts and also buy who they want this off-season.

Ducks might as well go out and pay one of Johnny/Forsberg, or go get both of Bura/Nuke than give up premium futures for Breadman

Would get to the line of not wanting to move a top ten pick and all the team control of that asset. Can’t give you a decent answer, probably Ducks say no and rangers say yes sort of neighborhood.

The top 2 assets we got for Hampus Lindholm are premium assets. The Ducks need to spend money to get to the floor so it should be an exciting offseason in Orange County, I cant wait for some news haha

Not sure about the values going to and from here...but if ANA is looking for a deal like this- and Panarin is willing to waive his NMC- NYR have to at least consider. Panarin is a great player- but moving him would gain a ton of CAP flexibility- which could be used to add players to the current lineup who they weren't even previously considering due to CAP restraints AND still have space going forward to avoid the "CAP armageddon" next year - when Miller, LaF, and Chytl all need new deals...not to mention Blais and Krav. And a small yet not insignificant point- Stolarz is EXACTLY who NYR need as a back up to Shest.

I believe that panarin wanted ny/la/chicago/Miami type address after colombus, Anaheim is probably about the only spot that could take on that contract full barrel, and possibly have some cheap options to give the rangers the cap freedom going forward. Anaheim might want a little more of a bargain, because they still need the kids to grow into a nucleus, but panarin would be a interesting sidekick to zegras going forward, some filthy mitts anyway.
